Take a few extra moments after your appointment and continue to enjoy the reprieve from the real world. It’ll still be there after you leave, I promise.
Here are some tips for maximizing your post float bliss:
Maybe you just want to veg out on the couch and do some more nothing for awhile. Your float host will be cleaning and orienting new clients for a few moments after your appointment, but you certainly don’t have to run out the door if you don’t want to. We strive to make our space a comfortable, stress free environment from start to finish. It’s fine if you find yourself totally mesmerized by everything when you leave the tank. Have fun with it. We could all use a little more water in our life. Treat yourself to some cold water or one of our various herbal teas (the cinnamon tea remains a post float favorite.) Sip slowly and savor the flavors.
Feel free to grab an art journal and peruse other float inspired art or add your own! When was the last time you picked up a color pencil? Who knows, you might surprise yourself. You made it through 90 whole minutes (hopefully) without your cell phone. Extend that time for just a little bit longer, if you can. Use this time to rediscover what it’s like to be in the moment or as a way to examine your relationship with technology.
