One of the things I love about floating is what happens before and after in the lobby. The spontaneous conversations have been both heartwarming and sometimes surprisingly raw and deep.
It’s during those times we often wish we had a way to capture and share the wisdom and sweetness that comes out of these float lobby sessions.
One of the hardest things for people who haven't floated to understand is why should they "just float" in water? It sounds so simple. What could it possibly do?
We recently acquired a mic and thought perhaps this would be a good time to begin to capture some float stories of the people who come in and out of Float Nashville. Your story is powerful and can help someone who is considering a float, understand how amazing the power of just being really is.
Wouldn't it be great if we could all share our stories in a regular float story segment?
Over the next few weeks we would like to experiment with that concept. Let’s get to know each other a little better. Let’s find the common feelings, ideas and circumstances that bring so many varied people together to float.
It will be casual. There’s nothing fancy about it. Just you, me, a cup of tea and good post-float conversation.
We will be asking people if they would like to take about 3 minutes of their time to participate in various ways – talk about your float, answer a random question, tell us about who you are. You can say “no”. It’s all good.
But what you have to say is important. Sharing who you are with people is powerful. And if we use your clip we will also put your name and your website (if you like) on the posting page.
